VOILA!~ Welcome ALL Our Voilalicios

Friends!

"But fate ordains that dearest friends must part." – Edward Young

Sayonara. Adeu.  Sawatdi. Ciao. Goodbye.
Different languages. Different phrases. One Meaning: The End. aka. Last post.

Time just flies past when you're having fun. And that's exactly what the Mundaneuphoric Crew has been having with all YOU, our voilalicious readers! In just a month, we went on a whirlwind adventure full of food, fashion, friends and lots of FUN! Though partings are always sad and may seem like the end, they actually signify the start of a new beginning!

Therefore, in true Mundaneuphoric spirit, we will be ending off with a voilalicious splash-crash! After all, the ends are not all that bad. Especially when we say goodbye in a "flying machine" that will crash.

The ends are definitely not bad at all when you say goodbye with...

Red Bull's FLUGTAG!

German for "Flying Day", Red Bull's Flugtag showcased Singapore's most craziest and wackiest flying contraptions built by YOU! It was held on October 28th, 2012 at Siloso Beach, Sentosa. Teams were only provided a 6m high ramp to take flight from and the vast sea to make their safe crash landing. From crashing ERP Signboards to Flying Durians, it was an afternoon filled with sun, sand and a whole lot of Flugtagging Red Bull Fun! After all, what better way to remind us that "Red Bull Gives You Wings" by actually making us fly?!

On the awesome Sunday afternoon, a total of 38 teams attempted, amidst cheers from a 35,000 strong crowd, to break the Red Bull Flugtag world record distance of 69.79m. A judging panel made up of 7 notable public figures (Paul Foster, Georgina Chang, Aide Iskandar, Rosalyn Lee, Felix Huang, Bobby Tonelli and Dee Kosh) judged each team on creativity, showmanship and of course flight distance.

A Red Bull Spokesperson said, “The first Red Bull Flugtag in Singapore and South East Asia was a great success. Red Bull events normally involve athletes but Red Bull Flugtag is unique because it celebrates our fans and supporters by letting them be the stars of the day. It was amazing to watch Singaporeans show off their creativity and we are proud to have given wings to the participants and their imaginations on the country’s first crazy flight day.”

Competition was stiff but alas, winners emerged!

SUMMARY OF PRIZE WINNERS:
1st Place: Team Super Sevens

2nd Place, Team Riff Raff Rubber Ruckus
3rd Place, Team Flurry Express
Prize for the Wackiest Team Performance: The Serial Flyers
The MINI Prize for the longest flight distance: Team Amphibious Dragonfly Drone (Distance: 18.2m)
